Cope and Stick Mullion Cabinet Doors
At TaylorCraft Cabinet Door Company we use a half lap joint at mullion intersections on our cope and stick mullion cabinet doors. This not only gives the cabinet door added strength where the mullions meet, but it looks beautiful and shows your appreciation for detail and craftsmanship. We attach mullions to the door frame on 90 degree intersections using a dovetail key (also known as a butterfly spline) for strength and beauty.
Whether our cope and stick mullion doors are open or closed, every part of the door is a beautiful addition to the cabinet, and the finished product is stunning.
Cabinet Door Quality
All cabinet doors and drawer fronts are meticulously hand inspected and must pass 11 quality control points before they are approved for delivery. All edges are eased, not only for aesthetics and feel, but for ease and quality of finishing. Raised-panel cope and stick and mitered cabinet doors go through a 10 stage surfacing and sanding process.

Mitered Cabinet Doors
We run our moulders at a minimum rate, for quality rather than speed and as a result, our mitered cabinet doors finish with a smooth, even look and feel that accepts stain beautifully.
Our dovetail drawer boxes are finished after assembly, so the end grain has the same beautiful finish as the rest of the box, unlike dovetail boxes assembled after finishing resulting in raw dovetail joints.

Even the pencils we hand out to customers have #3 lead, which is more costly and harder to find. The #3 lead lasts longer so you spend less time sharpening.
